Frequent Questions

I am recovering from injury or illness, is Pilates right for me?

Before the start of any practice with me, I will ask you a series of questions to help you determine if starting or increasing your physical activity is right for you at this time (PAR-Q).

While Pilates is a great form of exercise for most bodies because we can often work around injuries, it may not be appropriate for everyone and you may be asked not to participate if it might be inappropriate for you because of an injury or medical condition or I might ask you to seek medical advice before getting started.

How much is a lesson?

Each lesson (In-Studio / Virtual) is £50. If the lesson includes studio rental at EP in Windsor, an addition £20 studio rental fee will be added to the price of your lesson.

How long is a lesson?

Each lesson (In-Studio / Virtual) is 50 minutes.

How can I book a lesson?

You can contact me via my website to book your first lesson.

How can I pay for my lesson?

You can purchase your lessons online via the link provided in confirmation emails / messages that you will receive from me in advance of your lesson.

I'm not sure I will like Pilates. Do you offer a free intro?

Lessons are offered on a pay-as-you-go basis, meaning that you can book lessons as and when you like with no future commitment.

The best way to try Pilates and training with me is to take a lesson.

Can my well behaved child / pet wait inside quietly for me while I take a lesson?

Unfortunately, there is no appropriate “waiting” area or reception for your guests to wait for you at the studio and so they will have to wait for you at home.

If it is difficult for you to find suitable child or pet care at home, you might want to consider booking a lesson with me online.

What should I wear to my lesson?

Please dress comfortably. Your clothes should allow you to stretch and move freely. Avoid wearing baggy shorts since we often do exercises in inverted positions. Leggings or joggers and a t-shirt is usually a good choice.

Please refrain from wearing anything with zips, large buttons or anything else that could tear the upholstery or otherwise damage the equipment.

Socks are required for all sessions.

Can I eat / drink before my lesson?

Like all exercise, Pilates is best practiced on an empty stomach. It’s recommended that you do not eat for at least 2 hours prior to your lesson. Feel free however, to drink as much water before and during your lesson as you like.

Can I bring my phone with me into the studio?

Pilates places emphasis on concentration and focus. You may want to set your phone to silent before your lesson to avoid distraction.

What is your cancellation policy?

I just ask my students to be mindful of my time and cancel/reschedule your lesson as early as possible.

If you repeatedly cancel at short notice (less than 12hr in advance of your lesson), ask yourself if it isn’t maybe a bad time for you to plan lessons and take a break for a while?

How much time should I allow before my lesson?

Please arrive no more than 5 minutes before the start of your lesson.
