This book is dedicated to Mejo Wiggin, for her clarity and integrity in what she was taught and what she continues to teach.

And to June McMurdo, whose work recording Latin American dance technique inspired the creation of this book. She once told me to “teach what I know, not what I think.” It was a lesson that sparked my lifelong fascination with technique: the beauty found in precision, and the value of knowing precisely what we teach.

And to all of the teachers who have shaped my understanding of movement and the importance of sharing knowledge.
